Professor Khondaker A. Mamun to speak at Geneva Digital Health Day 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Khondaker A. Mamun, PhD, Director of the Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation, and Commercialization (IRIIC) at United International University (UIU), has been invited to speak at the upcoming Geneva Digital Health Day 2025. Held alongside the World Health Assembly, this premier international forum convenes global health leaders, policymakers, innovators, and researchers to collectively shape the future of digital health—especially in advancing Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and promoting healthcare equity in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

As a pivotal figure in IRIIC’s mission to catalyze innovation and impact through interdisciplinary research, Professor Mamun’s participation underscores our commitment to bringing Bangladesh’s voice to global conversations in digital health. His keynote at this high-profile event will spotlight the importance of AI-powered, inclusive healthcare solutions for underserved populations.

We are especially proud that two of IRIIC’s most impactful digital health innovations have been officially selected for presentation at Geneva Digital Health Day 2025:

1. Intelligent General Practitioner (iGP) – A community health worker (CHW)-driven, AI-powered model designed to revolutionize primary healthcare delivery in LMICs. This patient-centered solution enhances access and continuity of care at the grassroots level.

2. AI-Driven Clinical Recommendation System – A decision-support platform aimed at improving diagnostic accuracy, treatment adherence, and community-level healthcare delivery through intelligent automation.

These innovations represent IRIIC’s deep commitment to solving pressing healthcare challenges through scalable, sustainable technology. Being featured at this global platform alongside other world-class digital health initiatives is a significant recognition of the work we are doing from Bangladesh.

The Geneva Digital Health Day (GDHD) is a unique international conference that provides a future-facing lens on digital health innovation. Its inaugural edition in May 2024 brought together over 800 participants and more than 70 thought leaders at Campus Biotech in Geneva, co-sponsored by the World Health Organization and supported by institutions such as the University of Geneva, Geneva Health Forum, and AI for Life. The event offered a rich agenda, featuring dynamic panels, keynote talks, solution pitches, and interactive workshops addressing key issues like ethical AI in diagnostics, closing the digital divide, and leveraging space-based data for emergency healthcare in remote areas.

As we prepare for Geneva Digital Health Day 2025, IRIIC is honored to contribute to this global movement, showcasing solutions born from local challenges but designed for global relevance. We invite our partners, collaborators, and the wider community to follow this journey as we take the voice of innovation from our region to the world stage.

Stay tuned for more updates as we bring Bangladesh’s digital health breakthroughs to Geneva!
