Prof. Mamun Delivers Keynote on “AI in Future of Education” at National Symposium 2025

On February 12, 2025, Prof. Khondaker Abdullah Al Mamun, Founder & Director of the Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation & Commercialization (IRIIC) at United International University, delivered the keynote address at the prestigious National Symposium on Futures of Education 2025, held at Hotel InterContinental Dhaka. Organized by GEIST International Foundation, this year’s symposium was themed “The Future of Education: A Symbiotic Relationship with AI,” drawing attention to how artificial intelligence is reshaping the learning landscape.

In his keynote titled “AI in Future of Education,” Prof. Mamun explored how AI and Industry 4.0 technologies are not just tools for education but transformative forces capable of solving long-standing systemic challenges. He emphasized that AI can democratize education by expanding access, enhancing learning quality, reducing dropout rates, and ultimately producing higher quality graduates equipped for a future economy. Citing real-world examples, he demonstrated how intelligent platforms and adaptive learning environments are already being used to personalize education and improve outcomes at scale.

The symposium featured thematic talks, panel discussions, and poster sessions, and brought together educators, policymakers, technologists, and innovators from across the country. Prof. Mamun’s session received strong interest, particularly as he illustrated how AI can boost employability, innovation, and knowledge creation within university systems.
