How CMED works?

CMED is a cloud-based healthcare system that brings medical care to rural and underserved areas. It uses technology to connect patients with healthcare professionals, making it easier for people to receive timely medical attention.

When a patient first uses CMED, they receive a unique health ID. This ID is linked to their medical records, stored securely in the cloud. Every time the patient visits a healthcare worker, their health data is updated under this ID.

Community Health Workers (CHWs) use portable health kits to check patients’ vital signs. These kits include devices to measure temperature, blood pressure, blood sugar, pulse rate, oxygen levels, and even perform ECGs. The data collected is sent to the CMED system using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Once the data is uploaded, CMED analyzes it to understand the patient’s health condition. Based on the readings, the patient is classified into one of three categories:

Healthy: No serious issues detected. Patients are advised to continue with regular check-ups.

Alarming: Some concerning signs are identified. The patient may be referred to a specialist for further advice.

Emergency: Critical health issues are detected. Immediate medical attention is recommended.

If needed, CMED can connect patients with doctors or specialists through video calls. These specialists can access the patient’s records from the cloud, review the data, and provide expert advice without requiring the patient to travel long distances.

CMED takes data security seriously. It uses advanced encryption to protect medical information, ensuring only authorized healthcare workers and doctors can access it.

The system also sends reminders for regular health check-ups. Patients receive notifications on their phones, making it easier to stay on top of their health.

CMED makes healthcare accessible to rural communities by combining technology with expert medical care. With portable health kits, remote consultations, and secure data management, CMED ensures people get the medical attention they need, when they need it.
