In a first-of-its-kind initiative, 30 officials from LankaBangla Securities PLC took part in a 2-day hands-on training program, “AI Essentials for Capital Market Professionals,” held on October 3–4, 2025, at the Innovation Hub of United International University (UIU).
The program, organized by UIU’s Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation, and Commercialization (IRIIC) in collaboration with AI Forum Bangladesh, aimed to equip capital market professionals with practical AI skills directly relevant to financial operations, risk management, trade execution, and strategic decision-making.
Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury – Managing Director, Khandoker Saffat Reza – CEO, S.A.R. Md. Muinul Islam – CTO, along with Mohammad Amir Hossain – Senior. General Manager, and Md. Jahangir Hossain, AGM, participated in the program along with other team members from various departments, including Management, Digital Transformation, Accounts & Finance, Institutional and Foreign Trade, Risk Management, Operations, Trade Execution, Branch Operations, and Capital Market Research.
Professor Khondaker A. Mamun, PhD, Director of the MSCSE Program and IRIIC at UIU, Founder of AI Forum Bangladesh, and a leading AI expert, led the sessions with hands-on exercises, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations, applying AI-driven solutions to real-world capital market scenarios.
The training also created space for cross-functional collaboration, enabling participants to discuss real-world challenges and explore how AI can be effectively integrated into daily workflows. This initiative underscores IRIIC, UIU, and AI Forum Bangladesh’s commitment to advancing professional development in emerging technologies, connecting academic expertise with industry practice, and fostering a culture of innovation in Bangladesh’s financial sector.
