On 29 June 2025, A pioneering awareness and screening workshop titled “Endometriosis and Artificial Intelligence” was held at BP Pati Hall, Kumudini Women’s Medical College, with the goal of empowering women through early detection and intervention using artificial intelligence.
Organized by the Obstetrical and Gynecological Society of Bangladesh (OGSB), OGSB Tangail Branch, Kumudini Women’s Medical College, Kumudini Nursing College, and United International University’s Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation and Commercialization (IRIIC) in collaboration with CMED Health Ltd., the event highlighted how AI can transform women’s health and diagnostics.
The scientific partner for the workshop was Renata PLC.
One of the key speakers at the workshop was Prof. Dr. Khondaker Abdullah-Al-Mamun, Director of IRIIC at UIU and Founder of CMED Health. In his talk, Prof. Mamun emphasized the importance of integrating AI into women’s health services, particularly in areas like endometriosis, which often goes underdiagnosed for years.
The event featured awareness-building sessions, live demonstrations, and discussions with medical students, nursing professionals, and gynecological experts. A large number of students from Kumudini Women’s Medical College and Kumudini Nursing College participated in the session enthusiastically.
Speakers discussed clinical symptoms, diagnostic challenges, and how AI-powered health platforms can assist in screening and patient referral. CMED’s AI-driven mobile solutions were also showcased as examples of how digital health innovations can contribute to women’s wellbeing.
This workshop marks a significant step in promoting digital healthcare innovation in the field of gynecology and women’s health in Bangladesh. By combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge AI tools, the organizers aim to build a smarter, more inclusive healthcare system that addresses women’s needs with greater accuracy and accessibility.
