Position: Research Engineer (NLP)

Location: United International University, Dhaka

Vacancy: 10 positions

Requirements:

– Strong programming skills in Python (minimum 2 years)

– Proficiency in NLP, language modeling, and machine learning

– Practical experience in software development is a plus

– Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in CSE or EEE with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00

Key Projects:

1. Smart Reception: Enhancing citizen services at police stations using AI-driven NLP.
2. Police GPT: Developing an AI assistant for accurate, timely police-related information for both staff and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

– Conduct experimental research on NLP and LLM (Large Language Model) projects

– Design and implement language models, text summarization, speech-to-text (STD), and text-to-speech (TTS) systems in Bengali

– Apply NLP, signal processing, and machine learning in real-world applications

– Write research articles for project  findings

Work Hours:

– 40 hours per week

– Weekly group meetings (Preferably Saturday)
