2025 Innovation Conclave at IRIIC: Accelerating Bangladesh 2.0 Through Research to Commercialization

The Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation, and Commercialization (IRIIC) at United International University (UIU) proudly hosted the 2025 Innovation Conclave, a flagship event under the University Innovation Hub Program (UIHP), bringing together academia, industry, and policy visionaries under the theme “Building Innovation Ecosystem for Bangladesh 2.0 – Journey of Research to Commercialization.”

The conclave was led by Professor Dr. Khondaker Abdullah Al Mamun, Director of IRIIC and the driving force behind numerous national innovation initiatives. In a dynamic campus tour and interactive briefing session, Prof. Mamun introduced key guests and partners to IRIIC’s ongoing innovation projects, from digital health and AI-based startups to cutting-edge student-led ventures. His guidance highlighted the center’s role in fostering translational research—turning academic knowledge into scalable, impactful solutions for society.

The event served as a platform to align university R&D efforts with national development goals. Discussions revolved around building sustainable startup ecosystems, supporting youth innovation, and strengthening university-industry linkages to fast-track Bangladesh’s transition into a knowledge economy.

The Innovation Conclave concluded with renewed commitment from stakeholders to invest in talent, technology, and translational entrepreneurship, ensuring that the innovation engine at UIU continues to power Bangladesh toward a brighter, more inclusive future.
