IRIIC (Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation & Commercialization) at UIU brings together various research centers, including AIMS Lab, Brain Computer Interface Research Lab, and University Innovation Hub, to focus on utilizing 4IR technologies in Bangladesh. Its goal is to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and government to create innovative solutions for social and industrial challenges while building a skilled workforce for the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The institute aims to enhance research excellence, foster industry-academia collaboration, and promote a startup ecosystem toward building a smart Bangladesh. AIMS Lab, established in 2014, focuses on advanced research in computer science, while the Brain Computer Interface Research Lab, launched in 2021, explores neuroscience and rehabilitation engineering. Over the past decade, AIMS Lab has developed over 25 projects, including the successful commercialization of CMED Health, an AI-driven digital health platform serving over 2 million users. IRIIC envisions a knowledge-based economy for Bangladesh, contributing to innovation and technological advancement.
